Information about the event

It is our great pleasure to invite you to Bruntál, a city between water and mountains. We invite you to the oldest city of the Czech Republic.
The town lies between the Slezská Harta dam and the Low Jeseník mountain range, within sight of Praděd, the highest mountain in Moravia.
Come and test your racing form with the world's best walkers on a beautiful track leading up an extinct volcano.
Part of the track passes through a beautiful four-row alley, awarded as the most beautiful alley in the Czech Republic 2022. The linden trees here are 250 years old. Together with the unique way of the cross made of wood carvings, they will lead you to the highest and at the same time the most beautiful place on the track,
to the Baroque pilgrimage church of the Virgin Mary auxiliary.
You will have the opportunity to meet your sports friends, to meet new and ever increasing lovers of this great sport in a place where history combines with beautiful nature and romantic views of our region.

The race is held under the auspices of the World Original Nordic Walking Federation (ONWF), the Czech-Moravian Nordic Walking Federation (ČMFNW) and the city of Bruntál.

Rank of the event is National Championship - points conversion factor 2500 (so many points are scored by the best player)

Event program

The event begins with a ceremonial opening on 12 May 2023 in the municipal theater in Bruntál at 19:00.  Registration will take place here from 18:00 to 21:00.

On Saturday, May 13, 2023, the racing office will be open from 7:30 in Bruntál on the field of ZŠ Cihelní Bruntál.

At 8:30 the warm-up before the race will begin.
 
Route 5 km - start at 9 a.m.
Route 10 km - start at 9:15 a. m. 
Starts will be given in 2 minute intervals.

An accompanying program will be part of the event. Workshops for the public, for children and adults will take place from 8 o'clock. There will be workshops with certified Nordic Walking instructors for the public - for adults and children. Poles will be available for rent.
The program will include a children's short-distance race.

At 11:30 the results of the race will be announced.
At 12:00 the winners of the 10 and 5 km races will be decorated.
Announcement of the winner of the race with the best Nordic Walking technique.

Joint walk for the public after decorating  winners with certified instructors Nordic Walking.
